My husband and I went here tonight and OMG that is our new favorite spot in Fayetteville. We got the curry chicken and potato salad and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The chicken was creamy and delicious and the potato salad was amazing too. It was so good we tried to go in and order the mac n cheese too but sadly they were close to closing so they were already out. We will definitely be back for more ASAP. It probably sounds like I'm over hyping this spot but that's honestly not even possible because it tasted like heaven. I can't wait to try the curry shrimp, mac n cheese, and any/all of their cakes. Thank you for the best meal I have had in years! ❤️💯
The food was great. I got 2 Beef Patties and the Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta. The Beef Patties were cooked prefectly and were fresh. The Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta was full of flavor and tender. They give a BIG portion also. It was enough food for me to eat 1/3 at the restaraunt and I ate the rest for dinner and some a breakfast the next day. It also has great reheat value. The inside is nice and welcoming. They have plenty of space, not too cramped. Customer service was great. Next time I am in town I wil defenitely stop by again.
Try the curry goat! Else you are missing out on life!!! Curry goat 5/5- tender, Juicy, packed with flavor. Oxtail 4.5/5 - chewy, flavorful. Rice and beans - good Pasta salad - sweet tangy Potato salad - creamy Sweat plantain - good Service: friendly joyful employee.
What can I say but delicious!!!!! I found another amazing Jamaican restaurant by far!!!! I ordered the Oxtail, rice and peas with cabbage. I also got the Jerk chicken patty and curry chicken patty. Everything was delicious and hot as in temp. There was someone on the grill outside cooking and it just smelled amazing. Surprisingly this place was not packed like it should have.
Price was not too expensive. The food is very flavorful. I ordered the curry goat rice and pea cabbage and fried plantain. The goat was very soft falling off the bone. You can actually taste the coconut in the rice and peas. Nice customer service.
Deserves so much more than 5 stars! Walk don’t run. Not sure why it took us so long to stop here! Absolutely amazing! Reminds me of the authentic places back home in Florida ! Now to get off this review to go eat 🤣 Oxtails, jerk chicken, stew chicken, rice and beans, white rice, plantains, pasta salad. Worth it ! I’ll be back y’all !!!
Edit: brought back 9 friends today. Everyone loved the food! I got curried goat this time. I also tried the jerk chicken. Everything was awesome! Three of us got medium plates for lunch and each was large enough to be filling. The meats were all tender and flavorful. At least one chicken leg bone pulled away from the meat while picking it up. We will definitely return next time we're in the area.
This is probably the first places I’ve reviewed that I’ve given 5 stars. I was here in Fayetteville Nc for work & was craving Jamaica food. They have a nice selection of choices but SlimLos definitely stood out and I’m glad I picked them on a whim.i went twice within a week just a few days apart. My first visit I was so hungry I did not get any pictures but I told myself if I go back I will take pictures and leave a review. 1st visit I had brown stew chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, the Mac & cheese and of course a beef patty. The brown stew chicken was flavorful and tender. Rice and peas weren’t overcooked. I’m picky with my cabbage but I loved this theirs! The Mac and cheese is just OMG. Like cheesy, flavorful. Not wet but definitely one of the best Mac’s I’ve ever had. And the beef patty was so full of filling. I despise places who skimp on theirs. But these were one of the best patties I’ve ever had. My second visit which is what I will be posting pictures of I got the same thing except this time I got the jerk chicken. Which was also full of flavor. I will say it was a little sweet then spicy which is how I normally like my jerk but I wasn’t not complaining that’s how good it was. I do wish they gave me a bit more gravy but I only probably because I did not ask. The ladies who take your order are polite. It was steady busy when I went both times. I didn’t wait long. But if I had too I would. Environment was clean. A gentleman was also outside grilling my second visit and had it smelling so good. I also got a pink lemonade they make in house that was definitely refreshing. I will definitely be coming back when I visit the Fayetteville area. Side note: I got a medium plate both times and had leftovers. Less than $30 for everything. Both times
